How the Aura Color Calculator Works
The calculator offers two methods because they answer slightly different questions. The birth date method describes the color traditionally tied to your core nature. The quiz describes the color that fits how you are living and feeling now.
Method 1: Birth Date (Life Path Number)
We add every digit of your full birth date, then keep adding until we reach a single digit. The exceptions are 11 and 22, which numerology treats as master numbers and keeps as they are. For example, 14 March 1990 gives 1 + 4 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 27, then 2 + 7 = 9, so the life path number is 9, which maps to white.

Black is not assigned to a number. In many aura traditions it reflects protection or a season of letting go, so it appears only through the quiz.
Method 2: The 11-Question Quiz
The first ten questions ask about how you recharge, how you act in groups, how you handle change and stress, and what you want more of. Each answer adds points to two or three colors, and the color with the most points becomes your result. The tenth question, “At my best, I…”, breaks any tie. Your second-highest color is shown as your secondary color.
The eleventh question does not change your color. It only decides your shade. If you have felt energized or mostly fine, you get the bright shade. If you have felt stressed or drained, you get the muddy shade, which traditions read as a sign of stress rather than a flaw in who you are.

There is no scientific evidence that a visible field of color surrounds the body, and no calculator, quiz or app can measure one. What this tool does is map well-known symbolic associations onto your birth date or your answers, which can still be useful for thinking about your strengths, habits and needs.
Be cautious with aura photo apps and booths that promise to read your aura from a picture. They generally interpret sensor readings from your hands, such as skin temperature and conductivity, and then assign a color. This calculator does not ask for a photo or any personal data, and nothing you enter is stored or sent anywhere.
